Barisardo

The nearest center to our facility is precisely Barisardo, one of the most important centers in Ogliastra.

Don't miss a walk through its streets, to admire especially the textile handicrafts with their carpets, blankets and tapestries. Visit the Church of Nostra Signora di Monserrato, characteristic for its marbles, and that of Santa Cecilia.

There are also numerous archaeological sites in the area: domus de janas (Pizzu e' Monti, Funtana su Rettore), nuraghi (Sellersu the main one) and giants' tombs (Canali, Uli and Pitzu Teccu).

The symbol is the Tower of Barì, of Aragonese origin, which controls a long stretch of coastline from its 13 meters in height and divides the coast into two parts: the "mari de is ominis" and the "mari de is feminas," a distinction born precisely when beaches were separated between men and women.

Cea Beach

The jewel of Ogliastra, Cea beach will remain in your heart. A white sandy shore surrounded by shimmering shades of blue and scrub, formed mainly by junipers.

More than 1 km long, Cea beach is divided between the territory of Tortolì and for that of Barisardo.
At one end you will find Punta Niedda while at the center of the shoreline are Is Scoglius Arrubius, two twenty-meter high stacks that offer a breathtaking sight at sunset. You can also reach them by swimming.

The beach is equipped with parking, bar kiosks and equipment rental.

Excursions in Ogliastra

Ogliastra is a land enclosed between sea and mountains, so it is also suitable for trekking lovers.
There are numerous routes that can be taken on foot or by bike, and hikes of varying difficulty; even the most experienced will find plenty to enjoy.

The Baunei coast offers routes on the sheer cliffs of the coast, such as trekking on Cala Goloritzè or Cala Mariolu but also the more complicated ones to the Rocca della Regina or Magolà cliffs.

In the territory of Barisardo, on the other hand, you will find routes amidst porphyries and granites.

Ask us, we will be happy to advise you on the best routes to savor Sardinian nature. We can also organize excursions for you with specialized guides.

Heels of Ogliastra

If you are fond of nature walks, do not miss a hike on the Tacchi d'Ogliastra, whose name derives precisely from their conformation, similar to shoe heels. There are numerous routes you can take to discover these important natural monuments.

Perda 'e Liana is in the territory of Gairo and is definitely the most famous one. They are very important both from a geological point of view (thanks to the minerals and fossils present) and from a botanical point of view, for the Mediterranean scrub so wild and characteristic. Very important also for avifauna thanks to the frequent sightings of golden eagles, vultures but also pigeons and partridges, typical of this area.

In the walks you will also encounter nuragic sites of some importance and caves. The Scala di San Giorgio, Tacco Isaro and the forests of Tacco Arba and Monte Arqueri or Tacco di Tisiddu are also worth a visit.
